"N" is for nap

My first post, enabled by an early evening nap by Himself. Tada!

This blog, should Alexander decide to keep up his new habit of indulging in regular naps, thus allowing me time to post to it, will function as a baby book for Alexander, and a way for the grandparents, aunts, etc to keep up with what we're up to.

I suspect that for a while at least, the content will be mostly retrospective (after all, I'm starting this when he's nearly 2 months old), and quite full of my own bitching and moaning and general musings about motherhood. Perhaps Goran can be convinced to contribute occasionally. We shall see.

So, let's get on with the basics like birth statistics and any firsts that I can recall.

Born: 14 Jan 2008 at 2.40 am, after a mere 5.5 hours of effort on mom's part. I have a birth story saved somewhere, which I'll probably post eventually.

Weight and length: 3.3 kilos/7.2lbs and 51cm/20.1inches

Resemblance: Not so much like mom or dad. Rather more like a turnip than anything else!

"N" is also, apparently, for "Not so fast there with that free time thing, mom", because there is some loud shrieking and squeaking coming from the bedroom at the moment. Ah well. It's a start.
