We had a tree delivered last Tuesday and put lights up right away. That way it looked festive for Goran's birthday/our Lucia open house last Friday. We were waiting for the weekend though, before we attempted to to decorate.
I can't say that Alexander had a clue what was going on, and thankfully, he doesn't seem overly interested in the tree. I had bad dreams about him pulling it down on his head, but so far, so good.
Mostly he hung around and chewed on ornaments and the plastic boxes I keep them in, and Pappa tried to get him interested in the decorating process. It didn't really work, so I did the tree mostly on my own.
But still, Alexander's first Christmas tree, all faithfully documented.
Also, Alexander's Christmas stocking, finally completed. It's not as fancy or intricate as the one that my mother made for me, but I think it's cute enough and won't embarrass him when he's grown up. Not that that the one my mother made for me ever did, but I'm not a grown man. I've heard they can be a bit picky about these things. ;)
