We wanted to take Alexander in the water at the beach, but we had a few windy days in a row, with surf that scared him and man 'o war jelly fish washed up onto the beach. So we just took some pictures and went back to the pool.

The water was a bit cold in the pool by our room, but when we walked over to the bigger one (where I used to swim as a kid), it was warmer. He still fussed a bit when we took him in initially, but then he got used to it and enjoyed himself. It was a far different experience than going in the little baby pool at the spa in Tallinn, and much more like real swimming.

The downside is that we had bought him an inflatable swim ring to float in, but the resort bans pool toys and we never got to try it out.
