Ulrika, Göran's cousin, came with her daughter Julia (5mo ish), who is ... something or other to Alexander. Geneology freaks, please comment and tell me what on earth this relationship is! Dad's first cousin's kid.Hanging out with Pappa in the small cabin (aka the kid ghetto) where we slept.

Julia and Alexander are second cousins.
(and the relationship of the first cousins to each other's kid is "first cousin once removed". So Goran & Julia are first cousins once removed, and Ulrika and Alexander are first cousins once removed.)
Julia is Alexander's second cousin. Ulrika is Alexander's first cousin once removed (An "xth" cousin is basically how high up it is in the family tree to the closest common ancestor it is to the person with smallest # of hops, and the removed bit is how many generations you're off. So technically speaking, siblings are zeroith cousins, and aunts and uncles are cousins once removed.)
