Well, this one is a little late, but finally, the photos from Alexander's first night sleeping away from home. He and Jill and I took the bus out to a ... village? city? I guess it's a small city in the sense that it has a name and post code, but it's 30 min outside Tallinn and doesn't really have a centre or anything. It's where a lot of people have summer places, and where there was a children's camp in Soviet times.
Our friends Per and Kairi have a house there, just a short walk from one of the nicest beaches in the area, so it was worth the scary idea of a bus ride with a screaming infant and annoyed Cocker Spaniel. In truth, A slept the whole way there and Spaniel was her normal well-behaved self, so it was quite easy.
We stayed one night, and Alexander slept in their portable crib, next to the fold out couch that I crashed on. We had no problems at all, actually. He napped and slept quite well and I was very proud of him. Sappy momma, I know.
Maybe he slept well due to all the fresh air; we took a walk down the beach just before coming home to put Alexander to bed.
Anyhow, it was a success and because of it, I was much more relaxed when we went to Sweden and London later on.
