We were in London over Mother's Day, so we had a uniquely London sort of a day. My boys took me (okay, I'm stretching the truth a bit, but it makes me happy to think of it that way, so put up with me) to Harrod's famously well-stocked food halls to pick out some goodies for a picnic, and then we walked to Hyde Park to eat in the sunshine.

Really it was more like the shade, since we'd picked up a lot of sun already over the past two days and I didn't have Alexander's sun hat in my bag, but it was lovely nevertheless. Goran has already made fun of my use of the ever-so-British word, lovely, but what else can you say when you're on a picnic in Hyde Park?

It was a nice first Mother's Day. My boys are cute, I think I'll keep them.
I guess I should also savour these early years, before I start having to wear macaroni necklaces...
