"C" is for childproofing

This place is full of hanging curtains, tables with long tablecloths, lamps with dangling cords, books to pull of shelves, wood to bang up with toys...there will be no rest for mama when we're at home, that's for sure! We're here too short a time for it to be worthwhile to do the work required to really childproof, and there is no place to store the moved-away items anyway, so Alexander just has to be very supervised.

That means that I sort of follow him around while he stands, hanging onto various items of furniture that I have deemed stable enough, or he gets planted in a mostly open space, with something safe for him to chew on and bang.

Goran picks Alexander up and carries him around to show him stuff, like the beautiful flowers my lovely husband came home with the other day. I pretty much only carry him when I need to take him somewhere. At just under 9kilos/18lbs, my arms get tired pretty quickly!
