"S" is for socializing

Alexander has been lucky in that he was born during a baby boom of sorts. Most everyone we know has small children, so even adult birthday parties look like this:

There was a 5mo old girl, Alexander, two boys and a girl in the one year range, plus two older boys who of course avoided the babies and focused on creating an immense railroad system in the hallway.

We brought Alexander's travel crib along, and were able to bed him down by 8, but the party still broke up long before it would have a few years back. Much as I'm tempted to stay up late and drink wine when Alexander is sleeping, I still have to be up with him by 7 the next morning (not to mention at least twice during the night for feedings), so the nights are pretty early nowadays.

There won't be any posts for the next week, because Alexander and I are off to London to find us a place to live for the next three months. I don't feel like hauling my computer along, so you'll all have to wait a week to see what else he gets up to. I know, I know, so tough. ;)
