"W" is for wedding weekend

Alexander attended his first wedding this past weekend. We flew to the south of Sweden on Friday, attended the wedding on Saturday and then came home late Sunday night. He's such a good little traveller these days...

Friday night we went to dinner and discovered that Alexander not only likes lamb, but likes to gnaw on the bone like a good little caveman. When we tried to take the bone away, he vibrated with anger and screamed at us. It was highly amusing.

During the day on Saturday, we went for a long walk to have lunch at the harbour, and Goran carried him the whole way. My arms ached at the thought! He was exhausted on the way back (Alexander, not Goran) and slept with his head on his pappa's shoulder.

For the actual wedding, I didn't dress him in a little baby suit or anything like that, but I did find a cute little sweater vest for him, that jazzed up his shirt and khakis a bit. I think he looked quite sweet.

He slept on my shoulder during the church part (still tired out from the walk I guess), and was awake for the first hour or so of the party. Mostly we hung out inside and he practiced walking, while the other guests sipped champagne and chatted outside.

When it came time for dinner, I nursed him and we set up the crib in the hallway outside the dining room. He slept fairly well, and other than waking up for a snuggle and a few dances with his sort of inebriated parents, snoozed quite happily.
