"B" is for bus

I'm getting quite skilled at dragging Alexander on and off of buses. In many ways, so long as where I'm going is near a bus route, I find it far easier than taking a taxi. Granted, Alexander does sometimes object, and at those times it can be stressful because I get worked up about bothering the other bus riders, but at least I've got the wagon with me, so can haul all of our stuff and can lay him down to sleep if I need. Not so much if I'm lugging a car seat.

Alexander, objecting.

One of the nice things about Tallinn, is that moms travelling with babies are free on all the city buses. We just get on and off as we please and there is nothing to remember or fuss about. Most of the buses are wide enough that the wagon fits down the aisle, and even those which aren't have an open space in the back (which is where we were in the photos).

My most proud moment recently though, is one that I didn't take any photos of. I was too busy just trying to make it all work. Alexander and I spent Saturday and Saturday night outside Tallinn, at the summer home of friends. Clearly, if I'm going overnight somewhere, Spaniel had to come. Cue me, the wagon, my overnight stuff, Alexander's overnight stuff (for his first night not sleeping at home!), Jill's food and Jill herself all loading ourselves onto a bus. Alone. We managed, with a minimum of fuss and drama and the truth is that I'm ridiculously pleased with how well the whole transportation thing went. Well, and the night away, but I'll write more about that later, when I get sent the photos our friend took of A and I on the beach (his first time seeing the ocean).
